YACHT CHARTER VS. HOTEL ACCOMODATION
AS YOU LIKE IT
If visiting a foreign country, it is only natural that you’d like to get to know the place, the culture, tradition, customs and people. Sometimes it is all about just relaxing, lying on the beach, sipping cocktails, without a care in the world. You don’t need to go all the way to the Caribbean to do that. But sometimes it is about something more.
When you visit Caribbean there are so many places that you should visit and things to see and try. The best way to get to know the area is moving around, trying out new things, local cuisine, discovering secret places… Even when you are on mainland is difficult to do so, if you are situated in a hotel. Every day you go out, but in the end, you always go back to that same place. Sometimes, it is quite a hassle to plan a one day trip.
In the Caribbean there are thousands of islands and each is different and unique in its own way. When you are “stuck” on one of them, it is rather inconvenient to visit others. It requires planning or joining organised trips and sometimes there are no organised outings to particular places, and you are stuck where you are.
When you are on your own yacht, these problems disappear. You can go wherever you want, whenever you want and can stay there for however long you want. It is all up to you; make your wish and your skipper or captain will gladly take you there. Your hotel goes where you go.
This way you learn new things, discover places that aren’t tourist meccas, you are free to do anything you are in the mood for…
Besides the ultimate freedom of moving, there are some other advantages to yacht charter against hotel accommodation: you set your pace, you decide what you like and choose your activities, you have a personal instructor (and not share one with all other hotel guests) and guide, you eat what is prepared and customized to your tastes… You have privacy if you want it, and can mingle in the crowd if that’s what you like.
Another specific thing about Caribbean hotel resorts is that they are, in many cases, isolated from the rest of the island. These resorts resemble isolated communities where the guests have at their disposal all the features necessary for the pleasant and relaxing vacation, and needn’t to leave the resort for anything. These are exclusive, high-class retreats, where the guests spend careless vacation times. On the other hand, staying in one of these resorts doesn’t give you the chance to explore and get to know the country; you can rest in splendid all-inclusive hotels anywhere in the world where the weather is warm and the sea is clear. Caribbean is so much more than just that.
